Sleep baby sleep

[ 0 ] 06/10/2013 |

On the 15th of September, when Erik was 1 1/2 months old, he slept for 6 1/2 hours straight right after his first night feed. That was a sleep record for us and it only happened once. After that he more or less went back to his normal routine, meaning waking up every 3-4 hours at night to nurse and every 2 hours during the day. That was the pattern up until 4 days ago when a new -awesome!- night sleeping and feeding pattern emerged.

On day No.1 till day No.3 he had his first night nap in between 19:00-20:00 and slept for 6-6 1/2 hours whereas yesterday he went to bed around 18:00 and slept for 7 1/2 hours straight! He has been having lots of wet nappies, seems healthy and happy with no changes in his every day behavior, thus I am not worried and I just let him sleep. Today he also fell asleep at 18:00. I hope this will keep on going for a while and that eventually he will stretch the starting time of his long night sleep to a bit later than 18:00 and 19:00.

Any tips on how to do this are more than welcome!
