Like you, I suffered big time in the beginning and had cracked, bleeding nipples.

I struggled a bit to start with and nearly gave up so many times but I really wanted to do it so persisted. I made one visit to the breastfeeding clinic at Mater Dei and several phone calls during low moments & they were a great help and more informed about the subject than my doctor. It's a shame that there are not more clinics spread about the island as I couldn't bare making the long journey on the bus as I was in pain and wanted to see them face to face but you can call if you need help.
I bf till 6 months, I struggled producing enough to feed my boy so switched to formular. I was glad to start getting my body back but in hindsight I wish I had been able to do it longer and my plan is to try & do so with my second. As well as breast being better for them, formula costs a fortune!
